Platanenblatt is a project in which people with very different abilities work together. Making our shop usable for as many people as possible is part of that.

What we have done

All images have alternative texts for screen readers. The shop can be operated entirely by keyboard, with the focus always visible. Text is set at a comfortable reading size, with strong contrast between type and background. The pages are built semantically, so that screen readers can follow their structure. All content is available in German and English.

What we are still working on

Our film from the farm does not yet have subtitles. Invoices in PDF format are not prepared for accessibility. Some areas – the checkout, for example – come from service providers whose design we can only influence to a limited extent.
